Honoring the Butterflies, for showing us patience during the egg-to caterpillar, caterpillar-to-coccoon, coccoon-to-butterfly, and beyond (!) stages, as the Folk School moves from idea to folkshop to facility and ongoing classes and beyond.
Honoring the Trees - especially the Trees of Yellow Springs Ohio, and the Trees of Glen Helen, where the first Folkshop will be held in the Outdoor Education Center October 17-19, 2008. With the Trees we breathe, we root ourselves deeply, and we dream good dreams.
Honoring the Yellow Spring in Glen Helen, an ancient sacred place which nourishes the amazing flows of creative energy here. May those who keep the Heart Of Joy Folkschool down the years always remember to show respect and give gratitude to the planet which houses us, and all beings.
